Engaging Youth for Christ

RBC extends a very warm welcome to your family to join us for church this weekend.  We understand that the youth today are our next generation and that each of us share in the responsibility to help them to develop and prepare for their futures.

Here at RBC, we have many opportunities for every member of your family to participate and enjoy the experience of encountering God through the Bible.   Our youth enjoy a variety of exciting and engaging venues that both challenge them and expose them to valuable life-learning experiences.

To recieve additional information or register your youth for an RBC event, please complete the Y.E.S Youth Information Sheet and Permission/Release Form. The following are brief descriptions of our youth ministries (YES and YIIC).

Young Energized Saints (Y.E.S.)

At RBC we have Young Energized Saints (YES), Youth In It for Christ (YIIC), worship, learning, praise forums for children, nursery care for infants, Day Care (pre-school and Mother's Day Out) programs, and many other exciting and engaging youth activities and events.

To prepare our youth to meet the temptations of today’s society through the teaching and studying of God’s Word.  The Youth Ministry also provides an excitement about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We see five primary ways we can meet this goal.  We strive to...

  • worship God,
  • share our faith with others,
  • grow in our relationship with Jesus,
  • spend time with one another,
  • and serve God with our abilities and gifts.

We have a number of opportunities for you to be part of our youth ministry.  We conduct a Sunday morning bible study for both junior and senior high students and Wednesday night is our special youth service.  During the year, we sponsor a number of exciting and engaging activities, as well as a summer camp and weekend conference during the school year.  Please review our Youth Calendar for upcoming events, camps, and conferences.  We look forward to seeing you there.

To teach our youth how to love God and one another.  It is also our desire to give every child entering into the doors of the church the opportunity to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Above all, every youth will know that without Christ, there is no purpose.

To teach our youth...

  • the Word of God,
  • how to witness to their friends,
  • how to be successful and still obey God,
  • to have a forgiving spirit, and
  • attitude management

We believe that setting and teaching biblical guidelines are important in helping our kids learn to value their relationship with Christ, as well as with environment and community that they must learn to live in.

So we...

  • help our youth understand what it means to respect God, parents, other people, and themselves
  • discuss the concept of giving Jesus “top priority” in relation to everyday living
  • provide studies and activities based on familiar Bible stories & concepts
  • help our youth understand and practice self-discipline, compassion, responsibility, courage, perseverance, and faith
  • help our youth understand early in life, their personal faith, repentance, water baptism in Christ, and to always observe what they think, say, and do.

The following are many of the ministries that we sponsor during the year.

Youth In It for Christ (YIIC)

We are dedicated to reaching, teaching, and keeping girls and boys for Christ.  Our mission is to create an elite force of young people whose lives illustrate all the characteristics of biblical young people of God.  Beyond words, everyone associated with YIIC will live lives exemplifying the Christian values and executing the Great Commission.

We Believe the children’s ministry should be fun and creative while remaining grounded in the Bible.  Each week we strive to offer every child an exciting large group environment as well as meaningful small group encounters.  Our goal is to create a learning experience that captivates each child’s attention, challenges his or her thinking and inspires life-change as they take their next steps in Christ.
